Barcelona will not make a go for Paris St-Germain ahead Neymar in January, according to the club president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
The leaders spent all summer trying to negotiate a deal to deliver back the Brazil star .
The 2 clubs were ultimately unable to agree a bargain.
Asked whether it was possible for Barcelona to register Neymar at January, Bartomeu told the club’s official TV channel:”No. Right now, no.”
Neymar became the planet’s most expensive player in 2017 if PSG paid him 222m (#205m) so he can buy himself from his contract in Barcelona.
Although injuries interrupted both of those campaigns, the striker has scored 34 league goals in two seasons to the French champions.
Bartomeu dismissed the suggestion which Neymar was the most important target in the summertime, adding that the option to sign up was a bonus of the club.
“Barca had already planned their squad,” he further added.
“The opportunity to sign Neymar was one that came up on the industry. His signing was an extra; it wasn’t planned.”
